CERTIFIED COURSES IN WASHINGTON

Northwest Runner loves to recognize the average runner, or those with an inspiring story to tell. But, we also want to acknowledge those among us who are really laying it on the line and trying to achieve a higher level of success. So in each issue carry updated listings of the top five times in the most significant distances ON CERTIFIED COURSES. Both in-state and out of area races will be used for these listings.

70 & Over

The following currently used Washington certified courses are listed on the USATF web site. Let us know if there are others which are not reflected there, and this list will be updated. Please note that courses may be changed, even at the last minute, and if the certified course is not used for a run, times from that race will not be accepted, even if the race is listed below.

Readers may want to shoot for a ranking on our monthly "Best Times" lists, or just want to be sure that the distance they are running is accurate -- whatever the reason, we encourage you to run races on certified courses.
